Protoball combines FPS action with team sports athleticism in futuristic arenas. Players use advanced movement skills— dashing, sliding, grinding, triple jumps and techniques like curve shots, explosive energy shields, and precision passing to outsmart, out play and out score your opponents.
Built from the ground up as a competitive eSport: with ranked leagues, matchmaking, tournaments, team systems, practice & training, and more. Currently features multiple game modes including Core Protoball Sport mode, Pitball/Lavaball, Golf, Fight Club, and more in development. All with their own leaderboards.
Protoball is Free-to-play with no pay-to-win mechanics, microtransactions are cosmetic only and intended to support the game itself. Protoball is for pure skill-based competition, with a little style.
It's a bit like American Gladiators for the modern era: different games of skill that share the same characters, movement, and abilities, with the main core competitive mode always being Sport. After returning to the project one year ago, we rewrote Protoball from scratch on a new modular system enabling rapid prototyping of game modes, which will eventually lead to user-generated levels and game modes. We're very excited for that!
